| Increases the
number of core courses from 13 to 14. This additional course may be
in any area: English, mathematics, natural/physical science, social
science, foreign language, non-doctrinal religion/philosophy, or computer
science. The breakdown of core course requirements is listed

Effective date of new
rule:
- Students first entering a
collegiate institution on or after August 1, 2003, may meet the
initial-eligibility requirements under either rule.
- Students first entering a
collegiate institution on or after August 1, 2005, must meet the new 14
core course rule.

Division II is proposing an
