Feel free to copy these forms we have designed and use them to record the pieces of information you will need to complete the bib card for each resource you use in writing your research paper. Remember, you won't necessarily have information in every box, just those boxes that are available in the source you are using. MLA regularly updates their format requirements, so whenever you're uncertain or need help with other types of documentation (periodicals/magazines, interviews, videos, etc.) check this web site, or the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 6th ed. for clarification. |
MOST BOOK SOURCES (A printable form)
A basic bibliography information
required for PRINT materials–MLA style
1.
Turn to the title page. 2. Write
the information you find into the appropriate box.
3. Add any information regarding one chapter (if that’s all you’re
going to use in the book) or the volume number/name.
You won't have something
in every box, so don't panic.
