Part 4: Analysis of Instructional and Organizational EffectivenessA. Introduction: In analyzing the instructional and organizational effectiveness of the education program at North Augusta High School, we identified school strengths and limitations. After survey analysis and discussion, we cited specific examples of these strengths and weaknesses. A system perspective prompted methods by which each issue could be addressed. We will develop a school improvement plan, further building upon those areas which are strong and improving in those areas which need additional effort. The “Survey of Instructional and Organizational Effectiveness,” based upon NSSE’s Indicator of Schools of Quality, was given to all North Augusta certified faculty in January 2004. Within three days, the faculty and administration returned the completed surveys. The results from these surveys were used in formulating this report. Additional surveys were generated and administered to collect evidence on the strengths and limitations. The strength survey was given to a random sample of certified faculty. The limitations survey was administered to all departments, including administration and guidance. There was a follow-up survey to determine the top three priorities for improvement. The following three areas are strengths within our school’s organizational and instructional framework:
The following four areas are limitations within our school’s organizational and instructional framework:
The NSSE’s survey has identified four areas listed above where improvement will make our program even more instructionally and organizationally effective. The concluding report addresses the strengths and limitations of North Augusta High School, listing priorities for improvement.
