We also offer Advanced Placement in Calculus AB, English Literature and Composition, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology and American History.  Students are selected for these courses based on academic performance, standardized test scores at the 90th percentile or above, and teacher recommendation.  Parents may also affect placement.

Honors level courses are available in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, and Fine Arts.   Primarily, academic performance determines placement in honors level courses.

60% of our senior class, at least, will attend a four -year college.  Also, 20% or more attend a technical college.  Our community is a bedroom community for Augusta, Georgia.

Current courses are listed on the student’s transcript.  We are on a semester system.  Our school day is 7 periods.  We do operate study halls; however, seniors are expected to take at least 5 courses per day.  Seniors are allowed early dismissal or late arrival if the schedule permits.   We are not and never have been on a block schedule of any kind.
